Reefer Madness!

This weekend I was lucky enough to see UNCA's production of Reefer Madness! I had never heard of this show before, but after seeing it twice, I can't get the lyrics out of my head. You may or may not know that it is, in fact, a play about marijuana. Yes, you read that correctly. It's a hilarious spin on the influence of the drug starting in the 1930s. From crazy dreams, to getting the munchies, to a singing Jesus, it's so much fun! A good friend of mine was in the chorus and from what I hear, the rehearsals have been consuming their evenings every night for the past two months. I can honestly say the work paid off. I love going to shows and I am so thankful that UNC Asheville put on such a wonderful production. It was only a few months ago that I saw another play that was just as entertaining and I look forward to all the productions in the future! I'm very busy with work and school, but I hope to be in one of the shows before I leave Asheville. Gotta love the performing arts. :)

On a different note, it's hard to believe I only have 2 weeks left!! This year has flown by! I'm scrambling to get all my papers finished so I can start studying for those finals. I'll be happy when summer gets here, but sad to leave Asheville. Good luck to everyone in their studies!
